About Me

I have been involved with music all my life but for most of that time it has been a side gig. Songwriting is a passion and life has aligned such that I can now resume recording after a longish hiatus. My style is eclectic having released blues and jazzy records, reggae, worship, Americana and rock. It would not be possible for me to stick with just one genre which makes it hard to place my music. Growing up in Southern California, one of my earliest memories is of my dad in the living room playing guitar and singing Johnny Cash songs, my mom in the kitchen singing along in harmony, and me and my sisters joining in. Then piano lessons, choir (church and school) and songwriting and so it goes. I lived in Germany for 13 years. Upon return to the states (Denver) I sang lead and played keyboard in a rock cover band called Livewire. I moved over to originals and recorded an EP and a full-length album with my own band dazed. My husband passed away and music came to a halt at that time but over the next few years I remarried and re-started the music side of my life. More recently I released two album projects with the late Dan Wright. Christmas Time with eight original Christmas songs and then Night Train to Shanghai with 12 originals. My work with Dan was in a very different vein than my previous releases, with a pared down sound including the ukulele, guitar, harmonica and gas can drum. Dan passed away in early 2025 and I am currently working solo and collaborating with other musicians to release more originals. When writing a song, I start with the lyrics and the music comes after that which leads to a story-telling vibe to my music. I love the fact that you can produce a song in so many different styles and I experiment with a variety of influences. I have also turned a couple of my songs into children’s books, “Where Do Wishes Go?” and “Dog Pack Paradise”. With home base now in Lago Vista, TX , there is more to come.
